Enrichment

At our school, we believe in filling every year with moments that children will remember forever. Enrichment isn’t something that sits on the side of the curriculum for us—it’s woven into everyday school life, bringing joy, creativity, confidence and community to everything we do.

From charity days to creative adventures, physical challenges to celebrations of reading, our calendar is packed with experiences that help our children discover new talents, explore new interests and feel proud of themselves.

We love coming together as a community for special events like our Macmillan Afternoon Tea, where families join us for cakes, chats and fundraising. Throughout the year, children also take part in exciting national events such as the BBC 500 Words Writing Competition, World Book Day, Safer Internet Day, and Children’s Mental Health Week, each one giving them a chance to learn, reflect and celebrate in meaningful ways.

Our creative side really shines when we welcome inspiring visitors into school. We’ve had wonderful projects with artists like Darrell Wakelam and Jon the Potter, giving pupils hands‑on opportunities to build, sculpt and create something truly special. We’ve also enjoyed lively, active experiences such as Boogie Bounce, which always gets everyone smiling, and our much‑loved Maths Rocks sessions, where numbers meet music and fun.

Charity and community spirit are close to our hearts too. Whether it’s dressing up in spots for Children in Need, enjoying our festive Christmas Fun Day, or celebrating together at our busy, joyful Summer Fun Day, our children understand the power of kindness, generosity and teamwork.

Every enrichment opportunity helps our pupils grow not just academically, but personally—developing confidence, curiosity and a sense of belonging that lasts long after the day itself.
