Thanks for returning your reading books and library books.
If you haven't done so yet, or if you find any others, there's a box inside the main entrance.
Please drop them off this coming week.
This coming week is the 'last week of the summer term', which sounds meaningless at the moment. It's such a strange time for all of us. It is very odd to be remotely welcoming a new class when we feel that we have not finished with our current classes.
The year 4 staff have really missed having the full year group of children in school, and we are disappointed that the school year has fizzled out like this. We hope that our wonderful cohort of children are, nevertheless, looking forward to returning to school in September (all being well!) and have positive feelings about joining year 5.
Transition to Year 4
Welcome to Year 4
Hello new year four! We know that must sound very strange to you, as you did not get to spend the whole year in year three. It's okay to be a bit sad and a bit confused about that. This time has been very strange for everyone. Your year three teachers have missed you, as well.
In September, you will be joining us in year four. You will be in Mrs Thompson's class or Mrs Watt's class, and Mrs Lynch works in both classes. Miss Plimmer and Mrs Toogood will be coming into year four as well.
For the next two weeks, we will be asking you to complete some get-to-know-you tasks, and send them to us at the year 4 home learning email address - firstname.lastname@example.org
Please have a look at the transition booklets. You will see that lots of things will be the same as in year three - playtimes, lunchtimes, entrance, toilets and many more things.
If you have any questions, you can ask them via the email.
We are looking forward to meeting you in September.
