Holywell Primary and Nursery School

HSF (Holywell School Fundraisers) pride themselves on creating relationships within the school and the community at its heart lies in raising money so it can be spent in school benefiting EVERY child.

The HSF team actively encourages ALL parents and their children to get involved in fundraising activities, whether that’s being actively involved at an event, taking a lead in organising ideas with the HSF team, or coming up with great fundraising ideas.

Some of the events we carry out are:

  • School Summer Fayre
  • Year 6 Leavers’ Disco, gifts and supper
  • Halloween  and Easter competitions
  • Sports Day Events
  • Christmas Fete
  • Christmas entertainment for each year group
  • Seasonal Discos
  • McMillan Coffee Mornings

We have, to date, spent some of the funds on:

  • Apps for iPads
  • School cameras
  • Dictionaries
  • Learning resources
  • Forest School overalls
  • Wet Play items
  • Foundation Stage play house
  • Library books and reading books
  • Bottles of water for Sports Day
  • Seeds, soil and plants for the children to grow.

The list goes on and will continue to grow as we strive to continue making money for Holywell Primary and Nursery School.

So what’s the upshot of this?

We guess it’s that with some effort, fundraising can mean so much more to schools than just raising money for a good cause, it brings together teachers, children, parents and the community.  We’re always looking for helpers to join our team so Come on!  Please call the school office and put your name down as someone that wants to make a difference to your child’s school.  Call 0121-453-7829 or speak to Heidi Thomas, Emma Cornelius or Dawn Clatworthy.
