Holywell Primary and Nursery School

New Library

DSCF8029During the summer holidays, our school library had a bit of a makeover! It has been re-designed to make it more accessible to all ages and more user friendly.

New features include a jungle-themed reading area, complete with animal bean bags and furry friends! This is a place where we hope to see many children relaxing and enjoying their favourite book.

The non-fiction area now has a child-friendly colour coding system, helping children to easily find the book they are looking for. There are also new lily-pad inspired tables in keeping with the jungle theme, as well as topic boxes in which artefacts and extra topic specific literature can be found.

Finally, a new interactive whiteboard has been installed so that this area can be used as a high-quality teaching and learning space.

We hope that the children enjoy their new library, and as part of making it more accessible, we will be opening it up before school on selected days.
