Holywell Primary and Nursery School

Welcome to Nursery

At the start of your child’s journey through education, we offer your child the opportunity to flourish and grow through child initiated play in a welcoming, friendly and interactive environment. The children have free flow access to both the indoor and outdoor environment and they also get to explore our two forest school sites weekly.

At Holywell we pride ourselves on child led planning, whereby the children have an input into the topics taught throughout the year. This half term the children in Nursery were keen to learn about the Sports, you can see our topic plan here:Topic plan for parents (1)

Chinese New Year

Reception and Nursery really enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year on Thursday 2nd Feb.  We tasted different foods, made decorations, practised using chopsticks, played Chinese music for a Dragon Dance outside and even built our very own Great Wall of China!
