I have been working within primary schools for the past seventeen years, teaching within Years 4, 5 and 6 at St James’ Primary, Stourbridge, as deputy head at Hartlebury Primary and most recently as head teacher at Clent Parochial Primary. I am very excited to be starting at Holywell and developing the school’s strengths even further. Prior to becoming a teacher, I trained to be an archaeologist – history is obviously one of my favourite subjects!
Miss Jones is the Deputy Head Teacher with 21 years teaching experience in a variety of schools in Birmingham, Worcestershire, Sandwell and Dudley.
She is a mom of two; one of each! Her daughter is at Waseley and her son comes here to Holywell. Miss Jones, therefore, is a staff member and a parent of our school.

Since moving to Holywell, I have taught both year groups again and have worked with a fantastic team of people. I have a son who attends a special school with quite profound needs and so I am quite passionate about special educational needs and disabilities. I am responsible for all children with SEND from Nursery to Year 6 and currently teach part-time in Reception. I am also Acting Foundation Stage Leader.

After working in factories and on building sites for several years, I moved from London to Nottingham to become a teacher. 25 years later, I moved to the Black Country and taught here for a few years. My main teaching interests are Maths and English and so I’m lucky enough to be working at Holywell with Year 6 in these areas. I’ve always played sports – rugby, boxing, soccer, cricket etc. but have slowed down. My hobbies are now climbing, playing the guitar and motorcycling. I like teaching too!
