As part of the school’s current mindfulness project we all got to learn some techniques to help us become more mindful. Some of the children who had completed the whole course were mentors and helped train us.
The guides showed us the 7/11 technique for breathing; finger breathing; teddytation; calm down bottle and we finished with mindful musical statues.
After the activities the children described the activities as making them feel more peaceful, relaxed, focused and calm. One child described it as soothing.
