Year 3 learned lots about the parts of a flowering plant this week by dissecting tulips and closely examining the stem, leaves, flowers and petals. We also learned that flowering plants are pollinated by a range of living things, including mice! We know that pollen is from the male part of the plant (the stamen) and that the style is the female organ.
Watching Sir David Attenborough’s Private Life of Plants has motivate us to learn more.
