Harvey in year 2 has been nominated for the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Outstanding Young Citizens’ Award. When Harvey Leigh was in year 1 he was extremely brave as his heavily pregnant Mum collapsed whilst at home with him and sister. When he was unable to wake his Mum Harvey, despite only being 6 years old at the time, called his grandma whose number he had memorised. His bravery did not end there though as he also kept his younger sister calm until help arrived.
Thanks to Harvey’s quick thinking and bravery his Mum and new baby sister were delivered safely in June 2015. Here at Holywell we are very proud of Harvey and wish him the best of luck at the award ceremony in July at Birmingham Town Hall.
