Reception children were treated to an amazing sight at Forest School.
A pair of nuthatches had made a nest in an old woodpecker hole in one of our big oak trees. If we sat quietly near the tree, we could hear the babies squeaking. If we stayed very quiet and still, mum and dad would come and feed the babies and we could even see the babies popping up to ask for the food! We were all very excited to see this and felt very privileged to watch nature in action.
